If looking at the transactional model of communication, you could discuss context in terms of time, place and relationship OR you may like to address context in terms of Situational context Historical context Sociocultural context Temporal context The second approach here can be found in the Kossen, Kiernan & Lawrence textbook and has one advantage in the fact that you could base each body paragraph of your essay on each one of the contexts listed.
